Ridge gourd is what we call peechinga in malayalam.Like the snake & the bitter gourds this one is also a vine plant and likes to climb up.
Eventhough the snake & ridge gourds are having almost same type of leaves,there flowers are different in color.Ridge gourd is having an yellow flower where as the snake gourd is having white flowers .And the Ridge gourd flowers in the evening after 6pm unlike the snake gourd.
This gourd also has the male & female flowers.
In 2 weeks time it has grown big..
the first harvest...............
